History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Richard and his spouse have recently divorced.
