History: Bernard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He's also a talented Bricklayer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and wants to open a new tavern
