Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Rolf was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Roland was born the youngest of three triplets. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Engraver born in the past three hundred years. Anthony enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and further expansion of business

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Ernest will drive conversation. He has all his life been fascinated with writing.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Unemployed hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and he is unsatisfied with his job
