Description: He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty grey coat over it. He has a slight overbite and is overall scrawny. He wears his blonde hair down. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.
Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.
History: He was raised in a desert tribe. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He now owns his own business.

Description: This man wears a pastel costume with the symbols of the four houses of cards on his torso. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. His chestnut hair is long and unkept. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.
Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.
History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.
Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He dresses well, typically a more casual-formal manner. He has done his best to style his golden hair to look like a famous performer. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.
Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. Gerald enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.
History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Cartwright hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.

Description: This man dresses in white turtlenecks beneath a pastel coat with tan slacks. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. He has shaved his head bald. He wears an eyepatch.
Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is an amazing painter.
History: Aldous lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents enrolled him in a Commoner school at a young age so that he could practice his psionic talents. He bought a sai and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality

Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a tea of some kind. He likes to wear ponchos typically of a light yellow in addition to tight pants, marred by teas. He has moderate length blonde hair. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.
Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.
History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. A freak accident while working with his Cartwright father left him crippled. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.
Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and money/treasure
