Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. The war was a terrible time for him, and Roland does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born to a Bricklayer, his mother struggled to pay the bills. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roland was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Roland fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
