The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it
