Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. History: Born to a Beggar, his mother struggled to pay the bills. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Bertram was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Laborer. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Born to a Cartwright, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Laborer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He struck the Laborer job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and sabotage a competitor

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

History: He was born into a rich family. His parents enrolled him in a Expert school at a young age so that he could practice his divine talents. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
