History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Miner father left him crippled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Herbalist and was forced into it by his family; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. Gerard enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
