Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Jocelyn hails from a village terrorized by giants. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. After a long history of fighting, Jocelyn and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Many giants want him driven away; and wants his loneliness to end

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Roger will drive conversation. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Roger was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Roger was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
