His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Through the years after Roland was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Roland's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and he is wracked by social anxiety

Description: A man with a warm, jovial air about him, he wears dark leathers with embroidery. His golden hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. His blue eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of goblins once and for all.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He married young, but lost his spouse to goblins. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and he feels kind of lost in life
