Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Sage profession.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He tends to his Miller job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Born in the north to a Guard, Bertram learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Guard. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
