History: Born in the west to a Navigator, Shane learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has achieved small success as a Navigator.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Peter grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with his Seamstress father left him crippled. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Ruler for the past few years.

History: William lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. William liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well.
