History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He found a children's book about a Human Warrior who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His childhood dream was to be a Navigator, but he was a colossal failure. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bernard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
