He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Bernard hails from a village terrorized by orcs. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Knight for the past few years.
