Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. Dean is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has worked as a Layabout like his mother before him.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Description: This slender man stands about 6'3". He wears light armors faded through time and improper care. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: Ralf was born with his father's beautiful face. Ostracized due to the druidic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes.

Description: A plain young-adult man, he is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. His hair is long and silver with streaks of red, and is pulled back with small black clips. His beard is red, braided, and well cared for. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: Born to a Cartwright, his father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Scribe hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Scribe for hire.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and to unite with his sister

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered music. He has never given up on his music dream.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions.

Description: He has a missing right leg. He wears a fancy brown suit. He has dyed his greying chestnut hair a little too much giving a sharp chestnut color. He has gleaming, smiling gray eyes.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. During his travels, Miles and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Miles discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Miles fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
