History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Anselm was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A freak accident while working with his Bookbinder father left him crippled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Aldous's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Aldous was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gifted student he started as a Fortune-teller, but he got bored and became a Herbalist. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Herbalist and occasionally as a mercenary.
