History: Bernard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He worked as a nervous Sculptor and found it very stressful. He has achieved small success as a Sculptor.
