History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. After coming to the age of reason, Miles took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Through the years after Roland was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Roland's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
