History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Manfred liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He tends to his Sellsword job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He was born in the east. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Spice Merchant. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Mayor who has hired him part-time. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature sickle.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: Hugh hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He found a children's book about a Human Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: Bernard hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he wants revenge against illithids
