His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

History: He is a Chromatic Dragon in disguise. His childhood dream was to be a Bather, but he was a colossal failure. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Engraver.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and balancing his hectic life and new engraver responsibilities is difficult

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Layabout for hire.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Gerard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
