History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting brigands, the young Gerald began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with his Servant father left him crippled. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he feels kind of lost in life
