He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Herbalist. He has worked as a Herbalist like his father before him.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure.
