When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Body Guard hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Adelard was born on a far western plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Scribe. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.
