He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Description: His left side is far more bruised and cut up than his other. He wears a blue collared shirt and green pants. He accessorizes with a yellow scarf around the waist and a strap diagonally across his shirt. His long golden hair reaches down to his waist. His green eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.
