History: Anselm hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Anselm was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Gerard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gerard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
