His mother had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Godfrey was heart-stricken from the event, and his father started working long hours to provde for them. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he's looking for his big break
