History: He got into the Soapmaker business at a young age. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He tends to his Soapmaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Richard was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Druid, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Druid in service of a powerful lord somewhere. After coming to the age of reason, Raymond took it upon himself to study the druidic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
