Description: He is scrawny and has patchy brown stubble. He wears tattered old clothes. He has a hunchback. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. This green eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: John was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Stableman hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Ploughman. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and to share knowledge with the world

Description: He is an attractive man, lean and moderately muscular. He likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. His golden hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was born into a rich family. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
