History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he wants revenge against goblins

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Theobald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
