History: Born to a Seamstress, his father struggled to pay the bills. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered giants who tried to eat his hand. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Hugh was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: Lance was born the youngest of three triplets. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Diggory took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up dagger and armor he uses now. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out
