He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Mason. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: The child of a Crown-heir, who enjoyed hunting, Bernard was taken on many hunting expeditions. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He bought a kukri and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
