History: Bertram was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His parents enrolled him in a Bard school at a young age so that he could practice his martial talents. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and balancing his hectic life and new sellsword responsibilities is difficult
