History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Manfred liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. He has all his life been fascinated with music.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Simon was born on a far southern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Fortune-teller. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and to get a good night's sleep
