History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Map Maker. He has worked as a Map Maker like his mother before him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Map Maker responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Rolf's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: Rolf hails from a village terrorized by giants. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Gerald abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He now owns his own business.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and he has money and likes to spend it
