History: Cory was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Barbarian, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Barbarian in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end; and many gnolls want him driven away

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Don was born on a far western plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Crown-heir. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. His childhood dream was to be a Knight, but he was a colossal failure. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and to reunite with his absent father
