History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bernard grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: Lewis hails from a village terrorized by giants. Lewis was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Bookbinder. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Lewis was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.
