Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. Roland is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He dropped out of school to support his sick mother, and resented it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Layabout arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
