History: Born in the west to a Herbalist, Bernard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He now owns his own business.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
