History: He comes from a rich western family. Through the years after Gilbert was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Gilbert's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Patrick liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. During his travels, Patrick and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Patrick discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Gilbert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Gilbert was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.
