History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gerald was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dilettante hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he is wracked by social anxiety

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
