Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Arnold alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He tends to his Shepherd job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to pay off his debts

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and his religion dominates his actions

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Miles never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.
