He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Solomon Carlyle, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He has a missing right arm. He is well dressed, constantly wearing a black suit, blue shirt, and brown tie. His hair is cut close to his head. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.
Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.
History: Solomon was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Warrior, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Warrior in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and to reunite with his old friends

He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.
History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Alexandre Stansfield, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: This western man is abnormally tall. He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. His hair is short and auburn. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.
Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
Motivation: He is greedy.
