Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: Chad was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Warrior, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Warrior in service of a powerful lord somewhere. In his youth he was a Shipwright, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

History: Born to a Seamstress, his father struggled to pay the bills. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright grey and red, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His silver hair is knotted and matted. His eyes are likewise hazel.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Geoffrey hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Bookbinder and was forced into it by his family; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Wants a kiss.
