History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Ernest alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Bookbinder work with an outfit from a few towns over. Bookbinder work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has achieved small success as a Bookbinder.
