History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Hugh never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
