Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Roland fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
