He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Mayor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hugh fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and wants to work out more often
