History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving William alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
