History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. History: Born in the east to a Butcher, Heward learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's also a talented Mason, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Born in the south to a Detective, Charles learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing painting.

History: Hubert was born with his mother's beautiful face. A gifted student he started as a Locksmith, but he got bored and became a Dilettante. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Dean was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
