History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his youth he was a Cartwright, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger sister on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He saw the violence of war and the aftermath so he converted to religion and dedicated himself to non-violence.

History: He was raised in a plains tribe. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His first spouse was a Fisher, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and doesn't want to be a map maker and was forced into it by his family

Conrad abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
